This is one hell of a fun movie. I'm excited to share this one so let's get to it. Here it is.

Yep, it's another classic of the VHS era, SCARECROWS from 1988.




And there it is. Watch it immediately.

SCARECROWS is about a group of paramilitary criminals that pull a $3,000,000 heist and are on their escape when one of their own bails out of the plane with the money. The others chase after him only to find that they've all landed in a field littered with ghoulish looking scarecrows.

This all happens at night so the eerie moonlight in addition to their nightvision goggles illuminate the scenery. They find an abandoned farmhouse where they gather and try to recover the money, which has scattered all over the field. They also have a little debt to settle with their traitor. But so do the scarecrows, who come to life and aren't too keen on their new visitors.

These mean dudes are out for blood, and begin dispatching the criminals. But their methods have some unusual side effects as they become scarecrow-like themselves.

It's a night of bloody terror because these scarecrows are vicious mofos. There is some pretty gross gore scenes in this film but it's all pretty darned amazing stuff too. It's horrible but you can't stop watching it.

SCARECROWS is a great movie. I first saw it in 1988 and was a fan from the first viewing. I've seen it a number of times since then and own the MGM DVD. It's got a cool atmosphere and as I stated, the gore effects are top notch. Trust me, you want to see this movie.
